INVESTING IN A HEALTH CLINIC

Today, in my Introduction to Business class, we finished our “starting a business” unit. We read an article about somebody who started an executive health clinic and everything that they had to do before they could start their business. First, the person had to think of a name, slogan, and logo. Then, they had to fill out tons of paperwork and hire a lawyer to complete some of the legal work involved in starting a business. Next, they had to invest in having the actual executive health clinic constructed. This took about three months to complete. Next, the executive health clinic’s owner had to pay for newspaper and radio advertisements so that his initial batch of customers could find about the clinic and its location. I didn’t realize how much time, work, and money it actually takes to initially start up a business as large as an executive health clinic. After finding out how long it would take to start up a business from nothing, I am reconsidering opening up my snowboarding shop after college. I doubt that I would be able to come up with the money to invest into a business and the time to do everything that is needed to start the business.
