JOB INTERVIEW

I have a job interview in a few weeks for a management position. There are a few reasons I am trying to get it; it would be a great resume builder first of all. Second it would grant me a bigger check, which is always good in my book. Third it would allow me to work closer to home. A couple of other perks include my own office, a company car and eligibility for the executive health plan. All of which would be fantastic and I would be certain to have if it was not for my current manager. I do believe he has it out for me and does not want me to be promoted. Ever since I came on his team, I have had the sinking feeling he only promoted me to the position to make his life easier. I close the department all the time, I go to his meetings, and pull his reports. Meanwhile, I am left with very little time for myself, and he has neglected to teach me things that are pertinent t doing his job, which is the position I am interviewing for soon. I had to learn from other managers in other departments the things I needed to know. I feel pretty confident now that I will get the position and when I do I will waste no time saying adios to being a workhorse.
