Relocation companies are pretty plentiful, but you have to be careful.  Some are not really full service and only deal in one aspect of the process.  More than likely they are real estate agents if they have a narrow focus or only deal in one aspect of the process.  I guess it makes some degree of sense, because that is the biggest purchase and worry you have to consider when moving.  But if you really want to get a good overall picture of what an area is like and how it can suit you, you have to find a full service company.  There a fewer of them, and fewer good ones.  The good ones are great though.  I can't tell you how we were helped by Suzie's company.  And how much she did for us personally.  By the time Carla and I were finished and made our choices we had a new friend in Suzie.  We joking told her that she should move out there with us.  Then we would have at least one new friend.  She said that she would think about it.   We all laughed.  We still had a lot of things to think about now though.  We had to choose a place to live that was close to work.  Yet the closer in places were really expensive.  Then there was the matter of selling our home here.  The market was just not good at all.
